Chapter 4

Everything in Andi's life was going great. Classes were informative yet challenging and of course work is going well too. She and Kris were dating which was interesting too but in a good way. They kept work at work and play at home.

Kris had started a new thing where he had to get a hug from Andi before he played a game. So Andi had to find him outside of the locker rooms before the game started to give him his good luck hug. His teammates declared that he was becoming just as superstitious as Sidney but Kris denied that totally. Andi agreed with his teammates.

"I am not superstitious" Kris said as he was leaning against the wall outside of the locker room.
"If you aren't superstitious then you will be ok without a hug tonight" Andi said as she started to head to her seat but she did not get to far when a hand grabbed her arm and stopped her and she turned to see Kris looking worried.
He pulled her into his embrace and held her, "Fine I admit I might have a few superstitions and don't want to mess up a good thing while I have it going in my favor".
Andi just laughed as Kris hugged her tightly. Then he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and watched her head up to her seat. Kris headed into the locker room and got ready to play that night's game against the Flyers.

Andi found Kate who was sitting talking to Veronique. Andi joined in the conversation about that nights game and that if the Penguins won everyone would want to go to Diesel afterwords. Andi and Kate agreed that would be fun and hoped the Pens won tonight.

Finally the guys came out for warm ups and Andi, Kate and Veronique watched and then the Flyers came out and the Pens fans were shouting "Boo". Then everyone left the ice and headed back to the locker rooms before they came out for the official start of the game.

The game started and it was a tough first period because the Flyers scored twice and of course the fans still trying to encourage their Pens to go after the Flyer goalie. The second period the Pens got back into the game with Sidney scoring twice giving life back in Mellon arena. The third period started slow with not much going on and everyone thought that an overtime period would probably be happen but out of no where Sergei Gonchar sent a pass to Kris who then passed it to Tyler Kennedy who then passed it back to Kris who somehow took a shot that went through the Flyer goalie's five hole. The clocked showed only 30 seconds left in the game. Mellon arena was going crazy and so was Andi, she was screaming at the top of her lungs at that amazing shot by Kris. Evgeni Malkin went out for the faceoff and won it and the time ran out as the Penguins won the game 3 to 2. Andi knew that Diesel was the plan that night.

The girls went down to wait on the guys to get showered, dressed and interviewed after an amazing game. Finally after a while the guys started to appear and when Kris walked out he looked around for Andi and saw her and she ran over to him and hugged him as he twirled her around.

"What a game! That shot at the end Kris was amazing and unreal. Congratulations for the win" Andi said smiling at Kris.
"Thanks Andi. See my superstitious are not crazy" Kris said laughing.
"Great game" Kate said as she stood near Andi and Kris.
"Thanks Kate" Kris said as he put his arm around Andi's waist.
"I am thinking that we need to continue the party at Diesel" Marc Andre said as he held Veronique's hand.
"I think that sounds like a great idea" Kris said.
"I think I will join in too" Sidney said as everyone turned and saw him walk over to where Kate was standing and smiled at her.
"Wow Sidney is joining us. Are you feeling ok Siddo" asked Marc Andre as he put his hand on Sidney's forehead.
"Yeah I am fine, Marc Andre. I think it would be fun especially I hope that you will be there, Kate" Sidney said as he pushed Marc Andre's hand off his forehead and looked at Kate, who smiled and shook her head, 'yes'. Kate then looked at Andi and smiled. The group figured out that they would all meet at Andi's place in an hour and then go to Diesel from there.

Everyone showed up at Andi's more or less on time. Then they took two cars and then headed off to the club. They were all ushered into the VIP section very quickly and the music was loud and luckily the VIP area was not too crazy that night. Everyone was having a great time dancing and drinking.

At one point Andi went to the bar with Kate to get another drink. While they were waiting Kate turned around and looked over at where their group was chilling and he eyes grew wide.

"Andi look over there now" Kate yelled and Andi turned to look as some girl was all over Kris. The girl kissed Kris and he seem cool with it.

"Hey you wanna get a cab and head home because I would understand" Kate said as she saw that Andi's eyes were filling with tears. Andi just nodded and they started out towards the stairs towards the exit.

Kris looked up at the last second and saw Andi and Kate leave and he pushed the girl away and then Sidney and Marc Andre saw what had happened and had also seen Kate and Andi leave so they headed after the girls.

As the guys got outside the cab that Andi and Kate got in started off and it was too late to stop it.

Kris pushed his hand through his hair and blew out the breath he was holding and thought to himself, 'man I screwed up big time' and then felt Sidney pat his back and lead him to the cars where they headed home that night.
